Dr. Gürel completed his dental education at Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry and received his specialization training at Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. During his residency, he completed rotations in Emergency Medicine, Anesthesiology & Reanimation, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, and Otolaryngology (ENT), gaining a multidisciplinary surgical perspective. He maintains his specialist practice at his private clinic in Atasehir, Istanbul, and since 2023, has served as the owner of Derya Dental Polyclinic in Maltepe, taking on clinical leadership responsibilities.

Digital Surgery Initiatives
In addition to his clinical oral surgery practice, Dr. Gürel actively pursues work in digital planning and guided surgery. His specialty thesis, "In Vitro Comparison of the Accuracy of Zygomatic Implants Placed on Maxillary Models Using Freehand and Computer-Assisted Methods," investigated the accuracy differences between digital surgical planning and conventional methods, establishing the academic foundation for his work in this field.
Over the years, his accumulated surgical experience and interest in digital workflows have created a motivation to develop new solutions at the intersection of these two domains. To this end, TrueLine Surgical Solutions, which he founded, is a venture aimed at making digital planning processes in implant surgery more predictable and efficient. The project focuses on patient-specific surgical guide design and manufacturing processes, driven by real clinical needs.
Through these endeavors, Dr. Gürel aims to bridge the gap between clinical practice and digital manufacturing, making surgical processes planned and reproducible.

Clinical Leadership
While maintaining his specialist practice in jaw surgery and implants at his private clinic in Flora Residences, Atasehir, Dr. Gürel has also served since 2023 as the owner of Derya Dental Polyclinic in Maltepe, taking an active role in clinic structuring, team coordination, and patient service processes.
This structure, led by a team of five dentists and four support staff, focuses on delivering multidisciplinary dental services in a planned and sustainable manner.
